Colin Bushell

Colin has lived and worked all over the world as a professional photographer and writer, as well as a myriad of other roles that he’ll have to tell you about himself!
He believes that the power of the story is the driving factor in producing great results. He is Certified with the Professional Photographers’ Association of Queensland, won the Lord Mayor’s Photographic Award in 2015, and the Western Australian Literary Awards Mentorship Prize in 2005 for his draft novel, Lost Dogs.
He is a finalist in the 2024 Brisbane Portrait Prize, a dual finalist in 2021, and a finalist in the Heritage Bank Photographic Awards 2023.
He has lived in The Gap, Brisbane for over 20 years and is the President of The Gap Creative.
He believes in giving back to the community and volunteers his time to The Lions Club, Youngcare, Trek2Health, The Orca Project, Broken to Brilliant (of which the ABC’s Loretta Ryan is a patron), and the RSL.
